Today I am going to talk about ICT as communicative tool😊
Hello!
Since this could be an appropriate example to put on, I am writing a short piece on communication tools being used in teaching and learning.
In this situation due to pandemic of COVID 19, we are left with a lot of use of communication tools in teaching and learning. Teachers are having to teach online and in situation like this different communication tools like zoom, virtual learning environment, wechat, google meet and emails are being used to teach us and keep tract of the lesson.
With the help of these tools, we are being shared information by our tutors. We held classes using these tools and we are going well with the lesson. The normal classes happens where we are given works and we submit using those tools. This all is possible due to the use of communication tools.

ICT as an Informative tool

Information and communication technology (ICT) can be used in the classroom as:

• an informative tool
• a communicative tool
• a constructive tool
• a co-constructive tool 
• a situating tool 

Of the five tools, today I will reflect on ICT as an informative tool.

What are informative tool? 🤔
Informative tools are an applications which provide vast repositories of information/content to learner’s activity. It can provide huge amount of information in various forms such as text, graphics, sound and video.
We were given a task of making presentation slides on the topic "Is Hitler a gay" and i prepared a presentation of 10 slides.

                                          These are few of the slides from my presentation.

I concluded my presentation with a conclusion that Hitler was 'Heterosexual'.

Hence my conclusion slide.

What all did i experienced working on an activity on informative too? 🤔
I had huge amount of information about the activity (Hitler"s sexuality). I had to critically think. I was  able to integrate relevant ideas and analyze the information that i found from the different sources. since i had to search a lot of information about the topic, i developed information search skills and even learned to analyze the skills

Moreover one can have access to the global information resources like latest news and educational information.
Having experiencing all these beneficial things, i am definitely going to use ict as an informative tool in future as a teacher for i also want my students to 

To reflect upon it, in today’s era I feel it’s so right to use ICT as an informative tool for it not only has the above mentioned various benefits related to today’s teaching learning system but also helps connect people around by exchanging information. And this is so important!  

What and why about ‘Technology Integration’

It is said that first step towards change is awareness. So before I reflect anything about ICT as five tools, I would like my readers to be aware of what actually a technology integration is. 🙂

What is Technology Integration?

Technology integration is the use of technology tools in general content areas in education in order to allow students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem solving.

Technology integration is defined as the use of technology to enhance and support the educational environment. Technology integration in the classroom can also support classroom instruction by creating opportunities for students to complete assignments on the computer rather than with normal pencil and paper. 

Effective integration of technology is achieved when students are able to select technology tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyze and synthesis the information and present it professionally to an authentic audience. The technology should become an integral part of how the classroom functions.

Why Technology Integration?

Technology integration in the education system promotes quality teaching and active student learning. 

Another reason for technology integration is the necessity of today’s students to achieve 21st century skills 21st century skills include

• personal and social responsibility 
• planning, critical thinking, reasoning and creativity
• strong communication skills both for interpersonal and presentation needs
• cross-culture understanding
• visualizing and decision making 
• knowing how and when to use technology and choosing the most appropriate tool for the task

I feel technology integration is so much in need of in today’s time where life style has become complicated and we need to be equipped with something equally strong to cope up with the time.

With these basic points I m going to come up with reflection about five tools we can use ICT as, next time.

I m starting this blog to reflect the importance of Information and Communication Technology.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has an important role in the world since we are now in the Information Age area.
As a matter of fact, we are living in a constantly evolving digital world. ICT has an impact on nearly every aspect of our lives from working to socializing, learning to playing. The use of ICT also adds the value in teaching and learning by enhancing the effectiveness of learning or by adding a dimension to learning that was not previously available.
In this era people should at least be informed about the importance of ICT and the knowledge on how to access to it so that the world be technologically literate.
Hence I am blogging with the hope that my little reflective works be of some encouragement to people around, at least to few if not all.
