What is Technology Integration?
Technology integration is the use of technology tools in general content areas in education in order to allow students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem solving.
Technology integration is defined as the use of technology to enhance and support the educational environment. Technology integration in the classroom can also support classroom instruction by creating opportunities for students to complete assignments on the computer rather than with normal pencil and paper.
Effective integration of technology is achieved when students are able to select technology tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyze and synthesis the information and present it professionally to an authentic audience. The technology should become an integral part of how the classroom functions.
Why Technology Integration?
Technology integration in the education system promotes quality teaching and active student learning.
Another reason for technology integration is the necessity of today’s students to achieve 21st century skills 21st century skills include
- personal and social responsibility
- planning, critical thinking, reasoning and creativity
- strong communication skills both for interpersonal and presentation needs
- cross-culture understanding
- visualizing and decision making
- knowing how and when to use technology and choosing the most appropriate tool for the task
I feel technology integration is so much in need of in today’s time where life style has become complicated and we need to be equipped with something equally strong to cope up with the time.
With these basic points I m going to come up with reflection about five tools we can use ICT as, next time.

It is glad to know that to create an opportunities for students to work with technologies we need to integrate technologies. Moreover, to make students with 21st century skills we need to integrate technologies in our teaching or learning classroom. I truly agree with your justification to integrate Ict in the classroom.
